Gary Hall is responsible for technology solutions planning and architecture for Cisco’s Intelligence Community business. His duties span the full range of IT services and integrated architectures including networking, data centers, cloud computing, virtualization, unified communications, data centers, systems integration, information assurance, secure wireless, mobility, and other infrastructure, application, and data access services.
Prior to joining Cisco, Gary held several leadership positions at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) including Metadata Officer in the CIO’s office, and Program Manager for Audiovisual and Videoconferencing in the Enterprise Directorate. He was also the Chair of several Intelligence Community groups including the Joint Integration and Information Sharing Working Group (JIISWG), the Intelligence Community Communications Committee (ICCC) Audiovisual working group (AVWG), and the Geospatial Intelligence Standards Working Group (GWG) Metadata Focus Group (MFG).
Gary previously managed Booz Allen Hamilton's One Dulles Systems Resource Center, part of the firm's center for innovation and emerging technology. He was responsible for technology services including systems design and integration, event productions, technology injection programs, and media services. Prior to Booz Allen, Gary was the Conference Services Manager for the Immigration and Naturalization Service and has worked for the Army Corp of Engineers and Time Warner.
Gary served on the Board of Advisors for AVI-SPL and Trinity Global and was selected for the 2009 and 2010 InfoComm 100 strategic think tank. He is a Certified Technology Specialist in design and installation (CTS-D, CTS-I), and volunteers for InfoComm International, the trade association for the audiovisual industry. He is the chair of the Professional Education and Training Committee (PETC), Academy faculty instructor, and a founding member of the InfoComm Sustainability Task Force. He was also a founding member of the InfoComm Performance Standards Steering Committee. Gary is on the editorial advisory board and is a contributing author for AV Technology Magazine. He is also a member of the Association of the U.S. Army, AFCEA, and the National Defense Industrial Association.
Gary graduated from James Madison University with Bachelor degrees in Communications and English. He earned a Master of Science in Technology Management and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College. He was selected to the honor societies of Phi Kappa Phi and Upsilon Pi Epsilon by earning a 4.0 GPA across both his MS and MBA degrees.
